The Ivy School’s Governing Board is a high-capacity, collaborative body defined by stewardship and mission fidelity. We seek visionary leaders who possess an unwavering belief that all students—particularly those with language-based disabilities—can achieve mastery when instruction aligns with the brain’s natural learning processes. Our culture is entrepreneurial and data-informed; we balance an innovative “Museum School” mindset with a rigorous commitment to overseeing academic, financial, and organizational performance to ensure a 4- or 5-star student experience. We prioritize community voice, ensuring our decisions are representative of Las Vegas families and that our members work together effectively to solve the unique challenges of a growing charter school.

Giving The Ivy School Board is committed to ensuring the long-term sustainability of the school. While The Ivy will primarily rely on public funding, we will need additional funding to successful launch and implement all programming with fidelity on Day 1. The board actively engages in fundraising efforts to support additional programs, initiatives, and resources that enhance the educational experience for all students. Board members are encouraged to participate in fundraising events, solicit donations, and build relationships with potential donors. Additionally, the board may establish fundraising committees or task forces to oversee specific fundraising campaigns or initiatives. As a young organization, we ask at a minimum board members provide a capital commitment of service and expertise to ensure The Ivy is successful.
Development Our Board training includes a yearly retreat to align. Board members have options to participate in leadership trainings and conferences with the CEO.
